Hello! My name is Shawna, and I’ve been creating custom artwork since I was 10, when I offered to make my hometown tavern hand-drawn signs at $1 a piece. One look at those neon-yellow beauties, and the management couldn’t refuse! When people want fun and effective printed matter, they call me.
I’m a design and marketing professional during the day, and an illustrator by training. I received my BFA in Illustration from MassArt in 2003, then cut my chops at School of Visual Arts in NYC, where I dabbled in design and printmaking. My dream job entails writing, editing, and designing to my heart’s content. Check out my Graphic Design work for a taste of what I do from 9–5.
When I’m not on the clock, I create custom marketing materials, and wedding and event announcements. Over the last few years, my work has evolved from silkscreen to digital prints that look like silkscreen. I love the aesthetic and process of printmaking but found it difficult to achieve the finer details that small pieces, like a wedding invitation, usually require.
